Summer time fun...

Pictures of the boys at Big Kahunas and the Children's park.  The boys love being outside during the summer.

Rainbow

Last night Ryan was MOD at the hotel so the boys and I went to Walmart and then to their favorite restaurant- Olive Garden.  Afterwards, we went to Destin Commons for some coffee and playtime.  On our way to Walmart, we noticed a beautiful rainbow in the sky so we had to stop and admire it for a little bit.  I love the little things that I get to share with the boys... watch them play outside, sit and look at rainbows, answer their hundredth question for the day.  I am trying to figure out how to slow life down a few paces.  They are growing up way too fast.

Haircuts!!

It was that time again for some much needed haircuts.  So... Saturday we headed to Papa's shop for a little trim.
This is a picture of Ethan's first haircut (approx. 1 year old)

Happy Belated Father's Day!

We had a very low key Father's day this past Sunday. On Saturday, we went to dinner in Chipley to visit with some of my Aunts and Uncles and let the kids play around the home place. They love being in Chipley. I waited until the very last minute to let them know we were going so I didn't have to hear "how much longer" all day. Sunday we went over to my parent's for lunch after church. At that time, I realized that I had left Aiden's medicine bag back in Chipley. This is not good since we need this with us at all times in case he has a reaction and also for his inhalers. I was very emotional all weekend and I think my parents must have sensed that because they offered to take the boys back to Chipley to pick up Aiden's bag. I was very grateful but felt guilty at the same time. I asked Ryan if he wanted to do anything special for the rest of the day but we decided sleep sounded excellent. After our nap time and once the boys returned home, we had game night. Overall I think Ryan had a great Father's Day!  We love you!!

Here are some pictures of Ryan and the boys growing up together.

Movies...

We spent a small fortune at the movies this past weekend. We took the boys to see Shrek (3-D). They really enjoyed it but I think we may have to stick with the non 3-D movies from now on. I couldn't believe that we had to pay that much for some short entertainment. We told Aiden that he would have to pay us back if he fell asleep. He has done that a few times in the theater and it becomes a very expensive nap!

Here are some blurry pictures from the theater.

Last day of school

Today is the last day of school for Ethan (Kindergarten) and Aiden (preschool). They are ready to now begin their short summer vacation.

My sweet Aiden...

Yesterday we were getting ready to grab a bite to eat at the boy's favorite Restaurant... Olive Garden and Aiden jumps in the car and hands me a flower he had picked from the yard.  He will never know how much that flower meant to me and what perfect timing it had been.  Mommy needed a little extra love right about then and my boys always seem to have perfect timing when it comes to dishing out extra love.

Summer Time...

Summer time is here and we are all looking forward to it.  Although the boys take every opportunity they have to remind us that they still have to go to La Petite (daycare) while most kids get to stay home with their moms.  (notice through my posts that our boys like to give a little dig whenever they can regarding me being a working Mom.)  However, we are lucky because La Petite has field trips a few times a week for them and also takes them to swim lessons.  We are also looking at enrolling Ethan in a science camp for a week during the summer.  So even though Mommy and Daddy both have to work, we do try and make sure they have a fun filled summer.
So, this summer we are going to put Aiden in swim lessons again.  He is doing very well but still depends on his arm floaties right now.  We got our passes to Big Kahunas so I am sure we will be making that our home on most Saturdays. I have been talking to them about joining the Community library so we can check out a new book each week to help Ethan keep his reading skills polished for 1st grade.  Aiden is starting VPK preschool in August so he is very excited and would like to start learning to read with his brother this summer.  How smart would he be if he went into VPK already knowing how to read !?!
So we have our fun summer planned out and I am sure more things will pop up that we will fit into our schedule.
I haven't posted in a while so below are some pictures of some fun times they have already had:
The boys playing at Destin Common's before watching a movie!
Ethan likes to start our Saturday mornings off with a little game of hide and seek.  This is where he choose to hide!  Can't say I would have done the same... dirty clothes !?!
Aiden got a new pair of Sketchers and as you can tell, he chooses to wear them 24/7.
The boys taking a dip in Uncle Chad and Aunt Steph's pool.  They would invite themselves over everyday if they could.
Mikayla's 11th birthday party.  These are all of Mikayla's cousins minus a few.  The boys think they are related to all of them as well and you can't tell them otherwise.
